Complete IT infrastructure for warehouse
Complete cabling, Wi-Fi coverage and CCTV security system for a large warehouse in the Achterhoek region.
The challenge
Fulfilment Achterhoek had moved into a new warehouse and needed a complete IT infrastructure. The facility of over 5,000m² required reliable networking, complete Wi-Fi coverage (including between the racking systems) and CCTV surveillance of all entry and exit points plus the external grounds.
Our solution
Cabling
We installed complete CAT6A cabling throughout the facility with over 120 connection points. All cables run through professional cable trays to a central server room with two 42U racks.
Wi-Fi
Following an extensive site survey, we installed 24 UniFi access points, strategically positioned for optimal coverage — including in the narrow aisles between the 10-meter high racking systems. Roaming between access points is seamless, ensuring handheld scanners never lose connectivity.
CCTV security
A system of 32 Hikvision cameras monitors all entry and exit points, the loading dock, and the external grounds. With night vision and motion detection, the facility is secured 24/7. Footage is stored for 30 days on a dedicated NVR.
